Senior’s Transportation Services expand to North Queens

[Senior’s Transportation Services expand to North Queens]

VON Queens Site offers programs and services in response to community needs. We currently offer a range of programs including visiting nursing, wellness Clinics, foot care clinics, meals on wheels, frozen favorites, vial of life, exercise classes and the senior’s safety check in program.

Beginning May 3rd, VON Queens will be temporarily expanding the Senior’s Assisted Transportation Program to include the communities of North Queens. Transportation will be provided for seniors who need assistance getting to medical appointments in Liverpool or Bridgewater from the North Queens area. This service will be provided by VON volunteers and will be made available on Thursdays and Fridays. Clients who register for this service will be charged a fee to cover the travel expenses only.

Transportation must be for medical appointments and arrangements will be made on a first come first served basis. One week’s notice is required.

To learn more about this service or to register for a drive, please call the VON Queens Site in Liverpool at 902.354.3297.
