Region of Queens Shopping Survey

Hey Big Spender… shopping in Queens?

Where do you shop? In an effort to develop the retail sector in Queens, the Economic Development Department would like to know the where’s and why’s of shopping in the Region. Residents are invited to participate in an online shopping habits survey to determine how local stores fill our shopping needs. Focusing on a variety of products, such as groceries, clothing, footwear, restaurants and pharmaceuticals; this survey seeks to identify the reasons behind shopping location choices.

At a recent meeting of the Liverpool downtown retailers organized by the Region of Queens Municipality, business owners expressed a desire to encourage shopping close to home. The information collected from this five minute survey will help all businesses in Queens, especially Liverpool and Caledonia, look at their establishments from a consumer’s point of view and determine what steps are necessary to foster a shop local mentality.

Residents can access the survey by visiting the Region’s website (www.regionofqueens.com) and clicking on the link provided. Individual responses will not be visible to the Region. The survey is available until March 31, after which an analysis and a compilation of responses will be generated by the independent third party software. This information will be shared with the downtown businesses in Liverpool and Caledonia to assist them in their desire to ensure a fulfilling retail shopping experience in Queens as well as is identifying gaps for future development.

The Economic Development Department encourages all residents to take the time to complete the survey so as to help all of our businesses serve everyone better.
